Yo Ho Pirate Logan

Yesterday Logan went to William's birthday party, which had a pirate theme. We borrowed a costume from Bern and upon putting it on him, Logan released his inner pirate so took a billion pictures to capture the moment.

Aside from riding the ride at Disneyland, this kid has no concept of pirates. He is so funny, as soon as we put on the hat, he started talking in a low voice and making scary faces. He even prayed in a pirate voice ending it with a "amen...Pirate." We were dying...
We are sure excited to go on the ride at Disneyland again. It is coming fast!

Addy and Logan Update

Here are some more pics of the family. Addysen is pulling herself up and crawling all over the place. She is so so fast we have a hard time keeping up with her. She loves to "play" with Logan especially when his cars are all lined up so perfectly. :-) No really they do play together and he is very patient with her.

Logan made his own peanut butter and jelly sandwich in Joy School. He was so proud of himself. It is so neat to see him growing up and learning new things. He is learning his letters and the sounds they make. I am so happy for him! Logan is a big help around the house. He clears and loads his dishes after meals, he is great at cleaning up his toys, and he is even getting dressed and putting his shoes on by himself. Logan is getting really fast riding his bike. It is crazy how fast kids can learn!!

Janet and Emily thanks for letting us borrow this sailor dress it is so cute! She was a hit at church wearing it. I love this picture of both my kiddos. (Although it wasn't the greatest smile from both of them it was the best we could do on the way out the door for church.)
What a kid.
Spencer and Logan bought me beautiful flowers the other day and we had Burger King for family night! That is my kind of FHE! Thanks guys.

SNOW DAY

Yesterday morning I woke up to the sound of somebody scraping the ice off of their windshield. I looked through the blinds and saw mounds of white powdery goodness covering everything. I could tell by looking at the street lamps that it was still coming down so I called in to see what the work situation was and to my great joy, it was a snow day! I went back to sleep but hours later, Logan and I put on our gear and headed out into the cold. Logan found my trusty ski goggles and almost got them on right:)
This year has been pretty pathetic when it comes to snow. There has only been one other storm that yielded enough snow to play in and it was so late that we felt cheated when it was time to come in to go to bed... Yesterday however, we had all of the time in the world.
Logan is the short one on the right... the one that looks like a cross between superman and little Randy Parker from 'A Christmas Story'...
The snow wasn't the best for packing but it was fun to roll around in and wrestle in... After Logan was through playing we went inside and the first thing he said was... " how bout this mom... how about we turn off the lights and watch the grinch?" It did kind of feel like Christmas time, but I was not about to get out the movies... So instead we watched Monsters Inc. and drank hot chocolate. I can't wait till it snows again.

Logan is loving Joy School and playing with his friends. He also loves his new Sunbeam class and his great teachers. He is learning his letters and the sounds that they make. It has been fun watching him learn and grow so fast. I am blown away how quick he can remember the things we teach him. He is getting really good at coloring in the lines and doing his "school work". We took him to the allergist and he weighs 38 lbs and 40 inches tall. THE BIG NEWS IS HE IS ALLERGIC TO CASHEWS!! The reason we took him to allergist was one day at Costco he had a sample of the mixed nuts cup and his lip swelled up huge. At first we thought he bit his lip but after a closer look man it was huge, I had a feeling it was more than that. We took him in and sure enough he is allergic to Cashews. He has had them before but the allergist said children can become allergic to different things and this was one for him. So no more cashews or pistachios for Logan. We now always carry an EpiPen and Benadryl for our little man. Logan is also getting so good at riding his bike. He goes really fast it is neat to see him get so excited about riding everyday.


Addysen turned 9 months old on Feb 18 it is crazy how fast time is going. Her stats for being 9 months old are 17.6 lbs (25%) & 27.5 inches (50%). We are loving every minute with our two kids. Addysen is so happy, fun, and beautiful we can't get enough of her. Addy is learning new things everyday.

Here are a couple of awesome new things she has been working on:
*Picking up cheerios and putting them in her mouth (and actually letting them go in her mouth) Feeding herself took a little practice but she figured it out.
*This past week she has been watching us eat and decided she no longer wants baby food. She wants what we are eating. It has been amazing to watch her reject foods she used to love. I think she is growing up faster than Logan did.
*She is doing patty cake and clapping her hands on cue. She is so proud of herself!
*She crawls once in a while but scoots all over the place.
*She is pulling yourself up and getting a couple seconds of balancing in before she falls over.
*Addysen is waving good bye and smiling at everyone that looks at her.
*She loves Logan and Daddy but really LOVES her mama!
*She is sleeping thru the night :-)
*Addy also scrunches up her nose cute but I haven't been able to get the greatest picture of her doing it yet.....For now here are a some pics of our pretty little girl.




I feel so blessed to be a mom! I love my kids and my beautiful hubby.

Fun in Utah / flashback friday (for Ben)

It has been a couple of weeks now since we were in Utah visiting my family. We stayed at Al and Ben's and spent the first day up in the mountains playing in the snow, snowmobiling. Ben provided the sleds and the sweet truck to get there... Logan, being a truck fan, naturally loved the monster Ford and the bumpy ride up the mountain. Click Here for Al and Ben's post.

Once we arrived, Ben took us along a trail to a play spot where we had ample space to go fast and climb a hill. What a blast, and Logan was such a sport, he did so good holding on and everytime we stopped he would get mad that he wasn't moving:)


We spent a few hours riding and on the way back to the truck and trailer, Logan actually fell asleep sitting up in front of me, with his head rested on the handlebars... what a kid...

Our first real table!

So after we were married, my parents hooked us up with our first kitchen table it was one of those extruded plastic card tables, which was great because we did not have any space and it folded up and slid nicely behind the couch. Our next table was one that our good friends the Rogers let us borrow. It was a little bigger and was great because it folded in half to be whatever size we needed. So with it being President's day and all, there were a bunch of good sales and we saw this table in the JC Penny ad so we thought that it was a good time to finally get a table.
It is a tad bigger than the old table even without the leaf in.... and that is the coolest part, the leaf folds up and under the table for storage. We love it, feel free to come over and eat with us on it:)

Logan's new ride

Today we got up and went to Toys 'R' us because we heard that kids bikes were on sale. We have really slacked in teaching Logan to ride a bike, but while he was in New Mexico, his cousin Jade did a great job of showing him the ropes and she even let him use one of her old bikes. He picked up the general idea but still had a bit of trouble going forward.
There in the store he hopped on one of the floor models and off he went. So... we thought, now was as good of a time as ever to get a bike.
Next he picked out a helmet that he liked... I like it too, it is bright red with silver flames on it. It also came with pads. He thinks they are pretty cool, he said that they make him look like Batman.
We brought the bike home and I spent an hour putting it together then we headed out into the cold to test it out. He did great pedaling around the complex twice. We went into the office and he showed the ladies his new gear. It was so much fun to see Logan get so excited, he was so happy about the bike that he could hardly function. I am excited for the spring and warmer days so that he can keep up his practice.

New addition to the Garner Family!!!

Today Emily and Zack Garner welcomed a little boy into their family.... Here are the specs:
Kellan Everett Garner was born on February 14th (Valentine's Day) at 1:54 pm. He was 7lbs 1oz, and 20 inches long.


Congrats from all of us! We are so happy for you and are very excited to see the little guy. Let us know if there is anything we can do for you.

Another Fun Saturday!

We had another great day. We are all so exhausted now but it was great. We started out going fourwheeling and pulling the kids behind. It was awesome this is just a fun place to live. I love that in five minutes we can be out and in the wide open space. I really enjoy watching Logan & Jade getting dirty and making memories. Thanks Dad & Mom for such a good idea.

Sorry these are out of order. This is tonight after our long day Grandpa & Logan watching You Tube "zip a dee do da". We are so blessed to have such a great family. :-)

It was fun after our dirt adventure we went to Chad and Emilys to have a BBQ it was awesome. There new home is beautiful and it was neat to get to visit them. Brody and Addy are having fun he thinks her binki is something cool.

He is chewing on it and then gives it back to her. It is cute to watch them interact.

Back to our morning outing. Addy on the way home even on our bumpy roads in the jeep fell asleep. She had a blast, I love being outside I just feel like a better mom. It is the best!

Logan and Jade are so brave. They are adorable, they kept rotating turns with the goggles. Cute kiddos.

Jade couldn't resist the tempation to touch the ground while riding and here is what happened..after this fall Uncle Cam gave lessons on what to do when you fall off.

Thanks everyone for such a great trip. We are going to miss you when we leave on Monday.....until next time! (Luckily we get to go to Utah and see all of our family there and make more memories. We are so blessed, get ready Cottrells, and Grandparents.)

This is Addysens first time eating real food. We left Grandpa with Addysen and she woke from her nap hungry and he made her some delicious mashed potatoes and chicken noodle soup. She absoultley loved it. I think the girl is really loving big people food and ready to be done with baby food but she needs some more teeth to help us out.

Jade and Logan love taking baths and Brody just couldn't stand to not be included. We were going to give him a shower and he was so sad so he loved it when he got in too.
