Though it has been almost a month since we were there, we are finally going through the pictures and so here some of them are!!! This year we decided to stop in Hawaii on the way to Utah. It was a good way to break up the long flight and Disney's Aulani was AMAZING!
The day we arrived we were worried that we would have to wait to check-in, luckily not too many people were there so we were able to check in early that morning. We got on our swim suits and headed out.
The Aulani is two towers facing the ocean with a water park between the towers. Part of the water park is a water playground that the kids could not get enough of.
Even Sadie was getting in on the fun.
When we sat down to take a break, a couple of workers came and found us and hooked us up with Otterpops!
Logan got a brain freeze.
Addy lounging it up.
During our stay we bumped into a lot of characters, Goofy is huge.
There is a lazy river that surrounds a volcano water slide.
Here is a view of the ocean from the beach.
Addy loved playing tag with the waves.
Sadie and Mommy.
Addy the beach princess.
The sky was so blue and the moon was big and clear.
I could sit in the lazy river all day...
Near the stairs heading down to the beach there is a tiered hot tub.
Hawaii sure is beautiful.
Here is a view of the towers.
There are several restaurants to choose from each with a beautiful view.
Aunty's beach house is a place where the kids can go to play. Logan and Addy loved making space goo and coloring pictures and playing games there.
Tiki Stitch
The rock formations have hidden animals imprinted on them. Here are a few we found.
There are also a ton of these little guys to find.
Here is a whale.
Here is a map of the resort.
Sadie and Mommy above the lazy river.
Here is the water playground.
Down on the beach there is a chapel. They were cranking out marriages every 30 minutes.
Little Sadie... We sure love her smile!
Here you can see the towers.
Evidence of the "TRIFORCE" in ancient Hawaiian culture.
Flowers everywhere.
Logan and Dad had to try out the snorkeling.
This was Logan's first time.
Here we are in the fish tank. We found a lot of hidden Mickey's in there.
In the afternoon we went to see the story-teller at the fire pit. He told a great story, played his uku and made the kids laugh.
Addy's Hawaiian hairdo.
When the story was over, the story-teller let Logan blow out the "remote controlled fire."
At night there was a dance party with the Disney characters.
Sadie in her island dress.
In the morning we went to the character breakfast.
If you were at a breakfast buffet with tons of food to choose from... would you choose fruit loops?
Logan in the fishy parade.
We had a blast... we may start doing this whenever we are heading home.
ALOHA!
