March 9 Sadie turned 1. I cannot believe how fast the year has gone, part of what makes this so unbelievable is that Sadie is still so tiny. This morning we were getting her dressed for church and we were commenting on how she is wearing 3-6 mo shoes... she is growing up but still our little baby. So 1 year ago, I was right in the middle of one of the busiest seasons for work and it seems like everything was on hold for the month leading up to Sadie's birth. Both Logan and Addy came early so we thought that Sadie would be early too. Sadie ended up coming right on here date (as we figured it...) Here is a link to her birth post.
Sadie is just like her mom and sister; happy all the time, warm, sweet.... like a little ball of sunshine. She loves music, all I have to do is tap my fingers on the table and she starts dancing to the beat.
She has 1 tooth (you can see in the picture) and a couple more that are cutting through. She is eating most of what we eat, and a lot of it, though she still loves to snack on mommy in the middle of the night.
Logan and Addy are so good to her and she rewards them with lots of love. She follows them around the house on all fours, and loves it when Logan reads to her, and Addy sings to her. Addy told her today that it was important for princesses to dance and wear pretty shoes, so we she is well on her way.
She can say "mama" and "dada" and best we can figure, "Bampa" means grandma and grandma. She says "done", not when she is full but when the food you gave her is gone, so it really means 'more'. She gives big slobbery kisses, and waves and blows kisses when you say goodbye. She has started standing on her own and can walk if she has support. I am going to miss hearing her hands clap against the floor as she crawls.
Our good friend Laura makes tasty cookie cakes for all occasions, Amber thought it would be fun to have Sadie's cookie show off where she is from... Our little Korean baby:)
We all loved it!
Amber baked rainbow cupcakes, they sure turned out bright. Addy has snacked on them all weekend.
I sure love my "Asay" girls!
The kids came up with the perfect birthday gift for Sadie, a box full of tissues... Sadie knew just what to do with those, and nobody stopped her. We are so blessed to have little Sadie with us. She brightens all of our lives. I just hope the next year of her life goes a little slower:)
