Knitted Hats

My friend Felicity started to teach me to knit last year about a month or two before moving to Korea. I figured without her I would never be able to continue on and keep it up. I got to Korea and met a great friend Kathryn that is an amazing knitter and so helpful like Felicity was. She has helped me learn so many new things. I am so glad that I have the knitting market here in Korea called Dongdaemun. A floor of this huge building is full of yarn. I will take a picture one of these times I go. Not only is it just yarn it's the softest, greatest yarn you could ever imagine! We have a knitting group that comes to my house every Wednesday and they have become some of my greatest friends in Korea. The kids have fun playing and we have fun talking and knitting. We are all learning and teaching each other new things we learn. I enjoy having an activity that keeps my hands and mind busy. Many of you know my mind never stops. I always feel like there is more cleaning that can be done so at night I enjoy having this to keep me busy. While here in Korea we don't have TV so Spencer plays his XBOX and I will knit and we listen to Audio books. It has been so awesome, we are on Harry Potter #5. We love the books and enjoy hearing them together. This will be a great memory I always have of our time here.
So here is a picture of almost all the hats I've made. Spencer & Logan both have one that I didn't get in this shot. I think that puts my hat count up to 17 . I hope people get to enjoy these hats that I have made with LOVE!! By doing this it has helped me realize how much I love creating things for others. It makes me happy and I hope that the hats fit somebody!

January pics

Addy took out all the swords from the toys and was playing with them. She sings the star wars song along with it because that is what Logan does every time they play with the light sabers.

Judd used to tell us how cold Korea was and now we are experiencing it first hand. Not that the temperature is way different from Utah but man the cold wind sure makes it freezing. So needless to say we play inside a lot. Thank goodness for Christmas toys and good friends to keep us busy. I do have to say I am getting ready for the spring so we can play at the park and go outside again!

Logan got a new haircut and is looking all handsome. On the phone today my mom said something about forgetting something and Logan in the background said "Brain learn gooder!" It was hilarious.

Addy is a little monkey these days. Lately she has been climbing on the table and dancing around thinking she is so cool. It makes us have a heart attack but she just laughs.

Pretty Addy girl

This girl is so funny. She loves making crazy faces.
Thanks to Felicity for sending me this cool hat pattern.

Addy show me your eyes......

What number are we on???

I believe that this little beauty is number 8. We just picked this one up, it was kind of challenging due to the shape.
Fun and games on Saturday, we played several intense rounds of Go Fish (Logan schooled us all) Addy, ate crackers and randomly snatched cards. Later we watched the movie, Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs. It was really funny, better than I was expecting.

More Fun

We had Samantha over the other day and the kids all had fun making igloos.

One afternoon I came into the family room to find that Logan had put down a blanket, they each got there pillows with cute Mickey pillowcases Grandma Pauleen made and were relaxing together.
Logan all ready for church sitting in the window looking out.

Addysen loves this new dress Bern sent. She looks so good in brown!
One day while we were eating a snack she just started posing. What a kid!

Potty Princess

I just couldn't resist these pictures, she is so animated. Her face and the expressions she makes are hilarious.

Addysen has been wanting to wear panties for so long. We have been letting her sometimes when we are home for a long period of time. (Logan calls it babysitting Addy...we roll up the rugs and she is free and we watch her close :-0) About 2 weeks ago she started to go #2 on the potty. She did really good for a week and a half but then the last couple days she hasn't been telling me. I am still really excited and happy about it. I think she gets distracted it's easy to forget. We couldn't resist taking some pictures of our potty princess.

Big Snow Storm

Pretty view from our window.
A couple weeks ago we had big snowstorm for Korea! It was awesome, Spencer had a snow day and didn't have to go to work so we played, played and played.
This is Addy after we she played in the snow for the first time.
She had a good time but didn't last very long.
Logan on the other hand could have played all day long. As it was he and Spence were out for a good 1 1/2 -2 hours.
We came out at the end and that was just enough for both of us.
I felt so bad Logan didn't have snow boots. The first snow storm I had boots from last year, I pulled them out and I thought man these look to little. Logan said, "it's okay mom." so we shoved them on. I asked him again if he was okay and he said he was fine. But on his way back to the house he told Spencer, "Daddy my feet hurt.---BUT don't tell Mommy". Spencer told me he could barely walk. I pulled his boots off and I swear his toes must have been bent in half. I couldn't believe it. He must have thought I wouldn't let him play if I knew it was hurting him. So needless to say this time he just wore his shoes.
Addy made me laugh she could hardly move it reminded me of the kid on Christmas Story.

This is a progression of Logan doing a flip off this mound of snow. It is backwards but you get the idea.

When Spencer and Logan were getting ready they were super cute. The joy that children can bring is amazing!
So glad my kiddos got his pretty eyelashes.
You two are sure good lookin'
