Congratulations Emily!!!

Tonight our good friend Emily was baptized. We got home on Saturday from our summer away to the wonderful news that she had come to church and wanted to join.
Cami and Jake are so great, they called us up and invited us all over for pancakes where we talked about what needed to be done to move things forward.
Emily has always impressed us with her desire to know the truth. When I was a missionary I knocked thousands of doors and found few that would open the door let alone listen to what we had to say. The first time I met her, the Elder who knocked on her door told me that she was really open to their message and seemed to be determined to find out for herself if it was true. She did exactly that which brings us to today. We are so happy for her and her choice to be baptized.
Matthew and Hayden were troopers and seemed to fit right in with the rest of the boys. Jeffy, Ethan and Logan loved having more friends to pal around with.
One of the sisters from the ward baked a cake that says it all. Happy rebirth day Emily!!!

It was such a great baptism. Your talk was so good. Emily is a great person and I'm so excited she accepted the gospel and I get to see her every week in church.

What a great story to start my day off with. I am glad that that gospel found her and she was willing to listen and hold onto the truth. :)

I was so sad to miss her baptism. I caught a nasty stomach bug, and could not come. I am glad to see pictures, and hear it went well. It is very exciting.

Congratulations to Emily. She has just taken a step that will have eternal consequences - all good, and all dynamic. What a wonderful blessing it must have been, to see her develop her own testimony. I wish I could have been there.

I applaud Emily, her good husband and her dear children. It is my hope that they will all help Emily grow her faith and good works, so that others can witness her goodness and rely on her advice to improve their own lives.

I don't know you yet, Emily, but I extend to you my love and support as you enter this new chapter in your life.
