Let it snow...

Saturday we spent most of the day in the house watching Christmas movies, playing games and building stuff with Legos. So we were surprised when our friend called us asking if we had seen the snow, we couldn't believe that we went the entire day without even looking outside. When Logan overheard that it had snowed he immediately ran to his room to look out the window.
Though it was dark outside, we could see the snow falling around the halos surrounding the parking lot lamps. Logan's face lit up and he asked if he could go out and build a snowman.
We bundled him up in his new coat and my old hat and we headed out into the snow.

There was only a dusting of accumulation but enough for Logan to play in. He found a stick and dragged it around to make lines.

He even made a snow angel that unfortunately was in the flower bed and turned out to be a mud angel:)
Eat your heart out Ben!!!
Here is what 'joy' looks like. Amber and I took turns watching him out in the snow for about a half an hour and when Amber told him that it was time to come in, he said, "Mommy, it's okay, you can go in, I'm not afraid." What a kid. Well, hopefully we will get some more snow soon.

That's what it's all about. That sounds so nice to just stay home all day and watch Christmas movies. Logan looks so cute in his snow clothes! You guys are awesome parents!
p.s. Yeah, it's pretty sweet to get money from killing coyotes. I was laughing at your comments you left. You cut the ears off and turn them in for a $20 voucher. I almost died one time when I found a pair of coyote ears in my FREEZER! Gross.

Not only joy, but 'pure joy'! Oh my gosh, Logan, your grandma wants to just squeeze your face! You look so adorable. I love your new blue coat and what a cool superman hat too! That looks like so much fun! I hope it snows when we come see you and Aunty Bri and I will play with you in the snow. We'll make snowballs and throw them at your dad! Thanks again, Spence, for the awesome pics! Love you all, Grandma Dana

The expressions on that boy are priceless. We were out and about in the snow too and it really started to feel like Christmas. I love those days in that you just play games and stuff. And yes Amber, we totally need to watch Love Actually sometime. Anytime!

That was the funniest post ever! I laughed so hard! That is funny. I am in the library at the U, and everyone is staring at me! I am sure they are thinking look at that fat kid jiggle, he must work at the mall as Santa. Just for the record I am dying out here! So, in honor of no snow, me and Porter are not paying our tithing till it snows. All those that would join in we would really appreciate it. Now, I also know what your thinking... When you get in the hole for tithing, it is hard to get out. Well, I am petitioning the church to take American Express for my tithing. Swipe of the card for the 10% and if I am in the mood and sacrament wasn't boring, an extra 2% gratuity. Genius!

Please disregard the stupid comment above posted by my soon to be X-hubbilicious! He doesn't seem to understand that the reason we aren't getting snow is BECAUSE he "won't pay his tithing". First, Comes the FAITH and THEN come the blessings! DUH!!! Sorry for any offense he may have caused anyone. :) Love you PIECE!

I'm so glad it's you and not me. Our weather has been beautiful. Just yesterday the temps finally fell. I do not miss the snow, but I do miss the joy it brought the kids.

Hey Amber. Found your blog through a friend of a friend. Hurrah for snowfall!

So about that beautiful weather thing, just kidding it snowed all day today. Crazy, I know. It didn't really stick, as most first snows don't but it was a lot of snow, especially for Vegas. Guess I spoke too soon.

Snow is so fun. We actually got snow in Vegas this week. It was crazy and a nice change. It reminded me of Utah.
