Aulani awesomeness

It was a long flight from Seoul Korea to Hawaii.  The kids slept well while Amber and I struggled.  Finally we began our descent and landed.  We were so excited to finally be in Hawaii that we powered through sleepy urges and got in our taxi to Aulani.  What  a cool experience, when we got out of the taxi, the staff put a beautiful lei on Amber and gave the kids cool tiki necklaces.  Unfortunately we couldn't check in for a few hours cause we were early and the room wasn't ready yet.  We decided to get lunch and let the kids play at Auntie's beach house until it was ready.
Though like all Disney resorts, the food prices are kind of ridiculous, one of our favorite places to eat is out back by the water park.  It is called Off the hook.  Last year Logan became buddies with the waiter there, so the first thing Logan did was look for his long lost friend, and not only did he find him but the waiter remembered Logan.  We had a delicious meal while it rained.
While we waited for our food the kids colored Disney pictures.

I even got a smooch from psycho baby Sadie.
Finally our room was ready and so Amber and I went to check it out while the kids played with Stitch at the beach house.  This year we got the bigger room so that the kids could sleep better in their own beds.  We could not believe our eyes when we walked into the room and saw this view.
Here is the view from the elevators.
Aulani is very Disney.  There are hidden Mickeys all over.
If you look close, you can see another hidden character in this picture.
Next we headed out to the beach and the ocean.  Only a week before, we were out at Donghae in Korea and the East Sea was freezing.  The water here was perfect for swimming.
There are two floating platforms out in the private bay and Logan perfected his cannon-ball form jumping off for hours.
The view from the beach was right out of a post card.  Blue skies, palms and sand.
Addy was a great big sister to Sadie.  We were a little worried about how well Sadie would do walking on the sand since in Korea, she refused to let her princess toes touch the beach.
Logan and I swam out to free dive and see what we could see in the sea...  When we got out a few hundred yards, we both put our heads under and saw a huge sea turtle.  It was such a cool experience to be there with Logan and to see such a beautiful turtle.  We went out again later that night and again the next day but didn't see any more turtles.  We did however see a bunch of colorful tropical fish.
After all of that playing at the beach, both of the girls took a nap.
Addy loved playing in the sand.

My Amber and Addy.  I love it when they are happy, it makes everyone happy.
In the private bay, you can rent snorkel equipment, knee boards, paddle boards or even charter a ride on a sail boat.
Logan and Sadie loved pointing out new birds.  We don't have this kind in Korea.
Addy got buried in the sand.
Heading back to the room, Addy stopped to smell the flowers.
Logan fooled around a bit more.
Amber did a great job braiding the girls hair.  We even found a pretty flower add to the masterpiece.

Next up, some pictures of the room.
